To improve our community at Eagle Cliffs, we:
-recycle paper
-we have "clean up day" outside in the spring
-have the "Respect and Manners Program"
-recite the "Bully Free Pledge"

At Bitterroot, we do very much the same thing, excluding the "respect and Manners Program." Could you please explain to us what that is? Also, we'd love to hear the "Bully Free Pledge." We understand that your class will be given a good ol' 'Rusty Shout Out' next week. We'll be listening! :)
This last Friday we took our recycling to the next step. Rather than a box for just recycling paper, the students decided to set out a box for cans and a box for plastics. We are members of the 'Planet Protectors Club', a club which you may be interested in as well. It has some good stories, hints, and activities which can help you become more involved with protecting our planet.....community. :) Here is the site address:

The "Respect and Manners Program" is something we work on every week. Each Monday morning, our student council reps announce what manner we need to focus on for the week. Each week, a student is chosen from every class who has shown outstanding respect and manners. That student receives a gift card to the school store and a gift cert. to Mt. Jack's. Their names are announced on Monday morning and their picture is posted by the gym for all to see!
Our Bully Free Pledge is: "I will not bully other students. I will help others who are being bullied by speaking out and getting adult help. Eagle Cliffs is a place to learn and to be safe and happy. I promise to respect other people, my school, and myself.
